Lavender oil is one of the most versatile and popular essential oils. The essential Lavender oil is collected by the process of distilling the tiny blue-violet flowers of the lavender plant. It can take over a hundred pounds of flowers to make one pound of lavender essential oil. Lavender flowers are harvested for distillation in the summertime, when the plant is in full bloom and the essential oil is at its peak quantity.
